The Jurassic School Experience
A thrilling, hands-on dinosaur and fossil experience for preschool and Foundation Phase learners—presented in English and suitable for both English and Afrikaans learners.

One complete experience
Jurassic Adventures brings prehistoric learning to life through realistic dinosaurs, interactive education, music, movement, fossil excavation and fossil making.
The content is adapted to the age of the learners: gentle, movement-rich fun for younger children and deeper exploration of dinosaurs, fossils, prehistoric life and extinction for older Foundation Phase learners.

How the day unfolds
The team prepares the dinosaurs, fossils, sound and activity stations.
Ranger Ron introduces prehistoric life, fossils, diets and extinction before learners meet the dinosaurs.
Learners meet the T-Rex and Raptor, followed by class photographs.
Every learner completes fossil excavation and fossil making.
Completed fossils go home and can be painted in class the next day.

Learners are divided into four manageable classes.

Children from approximately three years old through Grade 3, including the full Foundation Phase.
Yes. The trained team makes the dinosaurs calm and gentle around younger or nervous learners, while older confident groups can enjoy more energetic interaction.
Yes. The programme is presented in English and is suitable for both English and Afrikaans learners. Afrikaans schools have enjoyed the experience and their learners follow the presentation well, helped by their familiarity with English through television and other media.
Up to approximately 130 learners can usually take part in one day. Larger schools can be divided over multiple days.
A standard visit generally runs from about 7:30 to 13:00. Exact timing depends on learner numbers, rotations, venue and school logistics.
